This Privacy Policy describes how Kohlab LLC (“Kohlab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Kohnok (the “Service”), a software product of Kohlab LLC, including our websites and related applications used for political and advocacy canvassing. 1. Information we collect

We may collect:

• Account information, such as your phone number, display name, and role (for example, canvasser or coordinator).
• Authentication data, including one-time passcodes sent by SMS to verify your phone number when you sign in or sign up.
• Campaign and field data you or your campaign upload or create, such as voter file imports, turf and block assignments, visit notes, custom form responses, and related operational records.
• Contact messages, such as your name, email address, and the contents of messages you send through the Contact Us form.
• Technical information, such as device and browser type, approximate location derived from your network, IP address, and usage logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and authenticate accounts (including SMS one-time codes).
• Provide canvassing, coordination, mapping, and reporting features.
• Communicate about the Service, security, and account activity.
• Respond to product suggestions, bug reports, and other inquiries.
• Maintain, improve, and protect the Service against abuse.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. SMS / text messages

When you enter your phone number, check the consent box, and request a verification code on Kohnok, you consent to receive a one-time SMS from Kohlab LLC to verify your phone number for sign-in or sign-up. One message per request. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help. Text STOP to opt-out. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

These messages are transactional authentication codes only. Kohlab LLC does not send marketing, fundraising, political, or voter-contact texts as part of this SMS program.

We use a third-party messaging provider (currently Vonage) to deliver verification texts. That provider processes your phone number and related delivery metadata solely to send and validate authentication messages on our behalf.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing or promotional use.

We may share information with:

• Service providers that host infrastructure, send SMS or email, store files, or provide analytics, CAPTCHA, and security tools, under contractual obligations to use data only for providing services to us.
• Your campaign organization, so coordinators and authorized users can manage canvassing activity you participate in.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain account and campaign data for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, security, and operational requirements. Campaigns may delete or request deletion of certain imported or operational data according to their own policies and our product controls.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices

You may update profile information in the Service, text STOP to SMS authentication messages as described above, or contact us to request account-related assistance. Campaign administrators control much of the voter and field data processed for their campaigns.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date.
