Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Kohnok (the “Service”), a software product of Kohlab LLC (“Kohlab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). See https://kohnok.com/brand. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Kohnok is a field canvassing platform that helps campaigns and advocacy organizations manage voter data imports, turf and block assignments, canvasser workflows, and related field operations.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity under your account. Access is authenticated primarily by phone number and one-time SMS codes.

3. SMS authentication

By checking the consent box and requesting a verification code, you agree to receive a one-time SMS from Kohlab LLC to verify your phone number for sign-in or sign-up. One message per request. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help. Text STOP to opt-out. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive authentication SMS is not a condition of purchasing any good or service from Kohlab.

4. Campaign data and responsibilities

Campaigns and their authorized users are responsible for the lawful collection, import, use, and disclosure of voter files and field data they process through Kohnok, including compliance with applicable election, privacy, and data-protection laws. You may only use data you are authorized to use.

Kohlab provides software tooling; it does not become the owner of your campaign’s voter file content simply because it is processed on the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use.
• Interfere with the Service’s security, availability, or integrity.
• Use authentication SMS for spam or any purpose other than verifying your own access to Kohnok.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Kohlab LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service. Feedback you provide may be used by Kohlab without obligation to you.

7. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third parties (for example, hosting, mapping, storage, and SMS delivery). Your use of those features is subject to this agreement and any applicable third-party terms.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOHLAB DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that SMS messages will always be delivered promptly.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOHLAB AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. KOHLAB’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO KOHLAB FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY FEES).

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
